In a world that exists only between sleeping and waking, there are creatures that wander where no human has ever dreamed of going. They call this one the Dream Walker. It travels silently across the pale and forgotten landscapes, its impossibly thin legs carrying a body made of flesh, bone, and things that have no name. Beneath its shell, strange spheres turn endlessly, collecting fragments of dreams left behind by those who have awakened. No one knows where the Dream Walker comes from. Some say it was born from the first dream ever dreamed. Others believe it has been wandering for thousands of years, searching for a place that no longer exists. Tonight, it has stopped. Perhaps it has found what it was looking for. Or perhaps, somewhere in the waking world, someone has just begun to dream.
