About

A self-taught artist and poet (poems by Bo Tansky) whose inspiration at times comes from the post-impressionist masters' Van Gogh, Cezanne, and Matisse. Recently her collection took a more abstract path. The collection was originally called "Real Impressions" is an exciting journey into the realm where reality and fantasy meet. It is a unique and refreshing blend of colors and perspectives that strives to stimulate one's mind and delight the senses.

Combining abstraction with a sense of illusion creates a stimulating experience. Colors are chosen to suggest the natural elusiveness of ever-changing light and constant optical movement. Layers of thick and thin paint suggest the idea of solid and ephemeral, and the relationship between permanence and impermanence.

Paintings meet at the intersection of reality, impression, and abstraction” My art creates space and distance that feels like the familiar world around us but is impressionistic, and abstracted.” The painted world blends visual plains and geometric shapes to create a sense of visual depth and vibrant dynamic colors that we can identify with.
