This illustration is part of a series I started during the pandemic's second wave on ordinary people in Italy, my country. I always found fascinating the characters who inhabit our cities without people paying much attention to them. So, this year, also to cast out the loneliness of these challenging times we're living, I finally began drawing some of them. This illustration is based on a real-life drawing I made of a woman sitting on a bench with a dreamy expression on her face. For this piece, I used a mixed technique: inks, watercolor pencils, oil pastels, and markers on watercolor paper.
