Mande is a Ugandan Contemporary painter that graduated from Margret Trowel School of Industrial and Fine Arts, Makerere University.
“ Seeing my father so skillfuly , accurately
and with ease make a drawing of Mother Mary isn’t something you easily forget as a little boy of 7 years. That kept me inspired. I wanted to be as good as that - paint and draw with fairest hand and with simplicity.”
Mande ‘s love for color portrays the spirit of his work and is expressed through his paintings with an energy and creativity radiating from an almost indescribable place.
His love for impressionism directly reflects in his numerous paintings ; of city scapes, land scapes and nature.
He uses oil, acrylic, water color, pencil and charcoal.
“ I use these to capture various moods that bring viewers to life. As an artist , my work is designed to touch hearts and to reach out to the world.”
But Mande is not one to be confined, he loves venturing into realism, abstract, and drawing. On top of that - Mande is a very sociable & easy going person.
