What Name It Bears … This graphite pencil drawing ‘Neo Deco – 26-01-23’ counterparts my previous one ‘Roundism – 20-01-23’. The reference picture is from the same model session I held in my studio but from a different angle. It totally differs stylewise though. One roundism at a time is enough, I thought. That is, because I have the feeling my search for something new keeps me wandering to and fro. Here I put it at your feet. There is roundism, neco deco and in the summer I made a series called ‘art deco’. Consequently I feel I have sunken into some kind of artistic name nitpicking swamp. On the other hand I clearly see the connection between all varieties, no matter what name it bears. Social Media Sentinels Makes me remember how this came to be.
