I did this painting because of all of the intricacies of the painting - wood, leather, stone, dirt, plus depicting the harness and chaps texturally correct. Received the highest compliment I believe I have ever received on this painting. An old cowboy told me that “you got it right. That is what it is all about.” He had been a cowboy all of his life working on one ranch after another. He said my painting was true. Color Pencil on Canson Bristol Paper
