I create as a way to escape reality and go into my own world. A world without problems. A world without pain. My reality is pain. It is crutches, medication, and doctors. The world in my mind is filled with dancers, curved lines, and freeing flight. The movement of the dancer carries her high above the flames of burning pain. The lines curve and pass over the agony so it is not allowed to touch them. Their movements make them free to pass through the smoke into a bright, clear, peaceful meadow. I create my art to capture them and their art, hoping to escape into that peace with them.
