One of the artist’s favorites, ‘The Moon and the Trees’ appears to be a simple rendition of a forest at night. But not so fast! This is a composite of two different photos. One is of the moon masked by a layer of clouds, and the second is a picture of the artist’s fireplace with flames burning inside. Originally, the artist used PS CS6 to manipulate the flames, but at time passed, he realized he had trees, though they were orange and not green. Changing the color of the trees was relatively easy. The hard part was integrating both images on a black background. The result was ‘The Moon and the Trees.” Limited edition of 40.
