Join us as we read and discuss the book, PAINTING THEIR PORTRAITS IN WINTER: Short Stories by Myriam Gurba, Author and Artist, at our May 21st, 2016 book club meeting.
We have a special treat in store as author, Myriam Gurba, will be reading and signing books at the meeting. Myriam has also published Wish You Were Me, and Dahlia Season. Dahlia Season won the Edmund White Award and was short listed for a Lammy.
She has twice toured with the lezzendarily avant garde literary and performance troupe Sister Spit. She is also a digital artist, having shown work in such places as the Museum of Latin American Art and Instagram. She teaches high school and would rather dispense tampons than advice.
We will be serving mimosas and a light breakfast.
