Missing Live Sessions This graphite pencil drawing ‘Model Session – 14-05-20’ is something different from the last one. Voorlinden – 03-05-20 was jolly good fun to make but I also missed live drawing sessions. You see, these Corona days bring little or no model sessions at all. However my model and I felt confident to do a new session after a long time, taking all precautions. Different Paper So I was more than happy to take up my live drawing pencils. This time I decided to use a rougher toothed paper this time (Arches Dessin paper). On this I could lay my graphite strokes with a bigger pencil than I usually work with. After she went home I put a finish over the drawing using smaller strokes with my regular mechanical pencil. However, the paper wasn’t quite suited for such treatment (scratching through the top surface). It gave me a nice soft impressionist look nonetheless. Similar Pose The pose is similar to the Venus of The Hague series made a month later
