I draw & paint simultaneously. So, I often work in ways that are very messy! I keep the rags, sponges, paper towels, etc, with me as my supplies. And it's tough to say whether the finished work is a paintiing or mixed media. I am more or less self taught. I am a writer. My latest book is "Heaven With Others" from Cervena Barva Press. I just took a fabulous class in collage and I expect I will soon be gluing pieces of paper onto some of my pieces. I do a lot of birds and florals. But I also love to paint from live models---human that is.
