This image evokes the freedom of pure flight. Base photos were taken near Morro Bay, California. The pelicans were from a separate photo. The artist used a technique of layering three images of the blue sky, one over the other. The bottom layer is full size. The second layer, whose color was adjusted using PS CS6, forms the dark blue rectangle. And finally, the third layer is the smaller version of the sky, a copy of the base photo. The pelicans were removed from their original photo and added as the final piece of the puzzle. PS CS6 was used exclusively to create these effects. Limited edition of 50.
