The setting for this piece is a restaurant in Malibu, California, on the Pacific Coast Highway called ‘Dukes.’ It is right on the ocean with marvelous views. After dining with his Uncle Peter and several others, the artist decided to take several pictures inside the establishment. This is one of those pictures. The chairs are meant to resemble the patterns on a surfboard. PS CS6 was used exclusively to bring out the colors and give texture to the image. This piece is actually a composite of two photos. In the upper left of the picture is a flame from a candle that was imported. Limited edition of 50.
